“ Randy's is a great place to eat! Debbie was our server and she was awesome. She was super friendly and even took the time to learn our names. I had the Rocky Mountain waffle and it was delicious. It was covered in fresh fruit and it was amazing. My husband had the open face turkey sandwich and he said it was excellent! The restaurant was busy and very clean. We will definitely be back! ”
“ My family goes every Sunday staff are like family Midwestern comfort food just really good. Rhubarb pie like my grandma made. ”
“ Top 10 restaurants in greater Phoenix! Came in on a Sunday post church and got in right away. Once we ordered, it took under 10 minutes to get our food. Which was absolutely DELICIOUS. Prices and audience give an old time classic diner feel. Our server was so kind and took great care of us. ”
“ It's been a while since I've been to Randy's restaurant and ice cream. I walked in and the hostess suggested chiliquilis and steak, which was excellent choice on her part. My steak was a little grizzly and the owner noticed I was having a little bit of a problem with cutting the steak so he bought me out another piece, which was definitely awesome customer service then of course have to have a piece of banana cream pie, which was really good to top off my morning. Give this place a try you'll love it. ”
“ Absolutely fantastic place to eat. I ordered the Billy goat with no mushrooms add avocado and an iced coffee. It came out so fast and the biscuit was warm and delicious. The coffee was good the Billy goat scramble was unexpectedly better than I could have imagined. The goat cheese was so creamy in the scramble. Our waitress Debbie was so sweet and attentive she really made me feel welcome. ”
“ Randy's is hands down the best breakfast spot in Scottsdale. Having been around for 40+ years, it's hard to call Randy's a "hidden gem," but it certainly feels under-discussed in the food community. This is largely because it strays away from the normal boozy breakfast experience that the valley has become so saturated with. You know the type--the line out the door, bottomless mimosas, stinky bachelor and bachelorette party-filled anarchies that have become the trademark morning experience of the area. The majority of Randy's clientele are newspaper-reading, flip-phone-using senior folks who know a thing or two about a damn good breakfast. The ambiance is quieter and more family-oriented than most, which makes for an old-fashioned yet refreshing experience in Scottsdale. Randy's has an incredibly large selection of items on their menu. They cover the breakfast essentials, lighter and skinnier fare, and signature pig-out items like the Camelback Cake (order it for the table). The service is always top-notch, likely due to the fact that the staff actually enjoys being at Randy's. This positive energy gets passed directly into your interactions with the workers and, more importantly, the food. I can order anything and feel confident that I'll be getting a satisfying meal. Randy's has proven itself to be an exemplary eatery and is my number one breakfast spot in Scottsdale. I will happily be back for more. ”
“ Randy's is an awesome establishment! Every time we go we are greeted with the great staff and feel very welcomed. The menu has tons of options on it but since I tried their chicken fried steak, I haven't turned back. The food is always fresh and hot and the portions are really solid. The place is the cash only, so keep an eye out for that. The inside has plenty of seating and they even have items to go if you want. We will continue to come to Randy's for a long time! ”
“ This is my next door neighbor's favorite place to eat. We live only 1 mile away. He says everything is good here. I lived in this area since 1995 and for some reason I never ate at Randy's. So I treated my 92-year-old next door neighbor Dave to eat at Randy's. I visited this restaurant in the last 2 months, at least 12 different times, while shopping at Safeway or going to the Leslie's for water test, in order to see what their daily specials were. But I never sat down to eat. This day, Dave was really surprised that the restaurant was so empty, at 5 pm Tues after Christmas. We sure had our pick of tables. So, I already knew what I wanted which was the $19.99 bacon-wrapped filet mignon. It is a special at that price every day and includes soup or salad, hot veggie, potato (which can be upgraded to sweet potato fries for $1), drink (which can include soda at no extra charge), and dessert which is a scoop of ice cream. But if you pay $1.50 upgrade, you could have a slice of pie. All this was so delicious! The cook charbroiled my steak as you can see in the picture, just the way I like it - rare! The sweet potato fries, me and my neighbor said, was the best we ever had in our life! The tomato parmesan soup of the day was also so delicious. He ordered one of the specials of the day $17, Pot Roast, see photo. I tasted it, very soft but I looked at other people's portions, and I felt the pot roast portion would be too small for me, but he couldn't even finish half his meal. I ate 100% of mine, except the pies. I brought the pies home. My neighbor didn't want his pie, so I ordered banana cream pie which is made with real whipped cream and rhubarb pie. I'm going to wait till I buy ice cream at Safeway for 97 cents tomorrow's new ad, to have with my rhubarb pie. My neighbor asked if I would order the filet mignon again another day. I said I will be back next week to have another filet mignon dinner with someone else..... haven't decided who yet. I told him I liked it so much, I wouldn't wanna try something else. I want the filet mignon again and again and again. Our server was very pretty and sweet and always coming back to our table to check on us, almost too much because she interrupted our conversation and train my of thought when she wanted an answer if everything was okay. She forgot our silverware which made us think she was new. My neighbor Dave, who eats at Randy's 1-2 times a week, said he's never seen her, or the other servers who were there on Dec 26. Maybe these were substituting for the regulars who were taking extended holiday vacations. I am so glad my neighbor introduced me to Randy's. Can't believe I missed out on 28 years of eating here, cos that is how long I lived within walking distance. ”
